The San Diego Chargers’(12-3) victory on Christmas Day guaranteed a first-round playoff bye. With nothing much to play for or prove in Sunday’s regular-season finale against the Washington Redskins(4-11) at Qualcomm Stadium, the only real question for the AFC West champions is how much time their starters will log.
San Diego goes for its 11th straight victory as it faces a Redskins team that will most likely be playing its last game under coach Jim Zorn. They came of a big 42-17 romp against Tennessee last Sunday.
The Redskins were blanked last week by Dallas, 0-17. This might be the last time Coach Jim Zorn might be in the game or Washington.
