Magic wins Second Game against Charlotte, 92-77

Amway Arena rocked as Orlando bagged their second victory from Charlotte on their second game, Wednesday, finishing the game with 19 points lead, 92-77.

The first game was not that productive for Charlotte as Bobcats swingman, Stephen Jackson, injured his knee when he collided with teammate Gerald Wallace as he dove to go for a loose ball on the first half of game 1. He finished with 18 points, 9 rebounds plus a technical. Gerald Wallace contributed 25 points and 17 rebounds and 2 assists for the Bobcats, who are appearing in the post season for the first time in franchise history. However, on the second game, Howard showed no effect of his knee-injury as he headed Charlotte with 27 points.

Orlando's best, Howard Dwight jovially received his second Defensive Player of the Year award. Howard is the youngest player ever to win the award for two consecutive years. He received the award on Tuesday after he topped the record in blocks and rebounds in the same season twice. Howard averaged 13.2 rebounds and 2.8 blocks per game this season. Dwight usually plays center but can also play power forward. Nelson on the other hand, lead the Magic on game 1 by chipping in 32 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists.

Just like their remarkable achievements on the first game, Jameer Nelson, Howard Dwight and Vince Carter awed everyone on their ferocious performances combining their defense and scoring power to overcome Charlotte. Carter scored 19 points, Howard contributed 15 and Nelson 13 points.

The first half was a turnoverfest for both teams, and nobody could consistently hit a shot. Things were so out of sorts that the normally sharpshooting J.J Redick even badly missed the free throw from Charlotte.

Will Magic's lucky day continue on the third game? We'll watch out for the Game 3, this time on Bobcats's advantage. Game 3 will be held on their home-court.
